1. The service
Mayla is an app for tracking your menstrual cycle, fertility, pregnancy and health, operated by Debugeo in Colombia. It calculates estimates on your device based on what you log.
In Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Syria, Mayla is not distributed and, if one of these countries is detected, it only works on the device, without an account, purchases or third-party services.
2. Not a medical device or a method of contraception
Mayla is a wellness and health tracking tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat any disease and it is not a method of contraception.
Predictions are estimates and may be wrong. Do not use Mayla to prevent pregnancy or to make medical decisions, and consult a healthcare professional. The medical disclaimer on this website forms part of these terms.
3. Minimum age
You must be at least 13 years old to use Mayla, or 16 if you live in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, or any higher age set by the law of your country. People under 18 only have access to cycle tracking and educational content.
4. Your data, your account and your passcode
- Without an account, your data is only on your phone: if you lose it or uninstall the app without exporting your data, we will not be able to recover it.
- If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure.
- The lock passcode is not stored in readable form. Without an account, a forgotten passcode cannot be recovered.
5. Acceptable use
- Use Mayla only for your own tracking.
- Do not attempt to access other people's data or interfere with the operation of the service.
- Do not use the app to monitor anyone.
7. Payments and automatic renewal
- Payment is processed by the App Store or Google Play using the purchaser's store account.
- Before you pay, you will see the price, the billing period, the free trial if there is one and how to cancel.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the same price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Refunds are governed by the policies of the store where you made your purchase.
8. Cancellation
Cancel renewal from your store's subscription management: on iPhone, Settings › your name › Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Premium remains active until the end of the paid period.
Deleting the app or deleting your account does not cancel your subscription in the store.
9. Deleting your account
You can delete your account from the app or request deletion by email. We delete your account and its data from our systems within 30 days at most.
10. Availability and liability
We work to keep Mayla running continuously, but there may be interruptions, changes or features that stop being available. We do not guarantee that the predictions, calculations or content are accurate, complete or suitable for your situation.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for unintended pregnancies or for the decisions you make, or fail to make, based on the app's predictions or content.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes the rights granted to you by the consumer protection laws of your country, or our liability in cases where the law does not allow it to be limited or excluded (for example, for willful misconduct or gross negligence, or for death, personal injury or damage to health where applicable law so provides). The exclusions and limitations of liability in this text apply only to the extent permitted by that law.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia, without prejudice to the rights granted to you by the consumer protection laws of your country.
12. Changes and contact
If we make significant changes to these terms, we will notify you before they take effect and ask you to accept them again in the app. For any questions, write to mayla@debugeo.com.
